Il 7 aprile 1928 nasce a Norman (Oklahoma, Usa) l’attore James Scott Bumgarner, che con il nome d’arte di James Garner negli anni ’70 interpreta con successo la serie tv “The Rockford Files” (1974) nel ruolo dell’investigatore Jim Rockford, che gli vale un Emmy Award come miglior attore. Tra i suoi film pi\u00f9 recenti ricordiamo “Maverick” (1994), “Fuga dalla casa bianca” (My Fellow Americans, 1996) e “Twilight” (1998). Nel 2000 \u00e8 al fianco di Clint Eastwood, Tommy Lee Jones e Donald Sutherland nel film “Space Cowboys”, diretto dallo stesso Eastwood. Candidato al Premio Oscar nel 1985 per l’interpretazione ne L’amore di Murphy, nella lunga carriera vince 2 Emmy Award e 2 Golden Globe.
