Gerard e Anton sostengono a Eindhoven, programmi formativi e sociali fondando la Philips Sport Vereniging (Philips Sports Association), dalla quale deriva la squadra di calcio professionistico indipendente nella Philips Sport Vereniging N.V. Gerard Philips muore il 26 gennaio 1942 a L&#8217;Aja (Olanda). Oggi (ottobre 2018, NdR) la Philips \u00e8 un&#8217;azienda multinazionale olandese con sede ad Amsterdam (Olanda).
