Il 4 novembre 1918 nasce a Mount Vernon (New York, Usa) l’attore e cantante Arthur William Matthew “Art” Carney che spesso sostituisce il Presidente Franklin Delano Roosevelt nei suoi famosi “Discorsi del caminetto”. Ottiene l’Oscar, come migliore attore protagonista, nel 1974 con il film “Harry e Tonto”, nel 1978 \u00e8 accanto ad Eli Wallach in “Il Boxeur e la ballerina”. Partecipa a numerosi film come “Fenomeni paranormali incontrollabili” (1984), e “A faccia nuda” (1984). La sua ultima apparizione sul grande schermo \u00e8 in “Last Action Hero – l’ultimo grande eroe” (1993).
