La carriera di Kitty raggiunge l&#8217;apice negli anni Cinquanta e Sessanta e nel 1991 \u00e8 il terzo artista di musica country nella storia a ricevere il Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. Dal 1976 nella Hall of Fame della musica country \u00e8 la pi\u00f9 anziana membro vivente della Hall.
